Hey everyone,
Sorry that I did not get out a Newsletter for the month of October.
Our Big Brew is tomorrow and so
is the November monthly meeting. So, even if you are not taking part in
the BB, please come out to the meeting and have some BBQ4U beans and smoked
meats. Bring a side dish and share some homebrew. I will have a keg
of Saison available tomorrow. The meeting will start about 12.00PM.
The club will have lunch and dinner provided tomorrow.
The December 2005 and January 2006 meetings will be held at the house of
Brian and Janet Allison. I am just awaiting dates for those
meetings. I will get those dates out to you as soon as I have them in my
possession. Meetings at Brian and Janet's house are always a very nice
occasion. Brian also sports quite a nice brewery in his basement which
must be scene to be appreciated.
The next Beer Quest is just around the corner. It will be held
November 20th. Jim has announced the style for the first Beer Quest of
2006 which will be held February 19th, 2006. And drum roll please.
The style is basically "Lager". Yup, you can brew any Lager Bier that you
would like. So if you have been itching to win this thing so Empyrean must
brew up a big Doppelbock, or a fragrant Bohemian Pilsner, then you need to enter
your beer in this Beer Quest.
While we are talking about Empyrean, let me pass along that they have a
cask night this upcoming Monday November 7th. The FestivAle and a Oak Aged
Imperial Stout will be on the cask being served by traditional beer
engines. I will be there.
Well, I hope to see you ALL tomorrow as
the BB is usually a very good time indeed. Note we will be discussing the
2006 bus trip as well as some other important information tomorrow at the
November meeting. So, even if you can't make it out all day, please come
out to the meeting so that you can get all the latest details.
Chris
